Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a life-limiting disease with no known cure or effective treatment. Each person's experience with MND is unique, but on average, individual life expectancy is just 27 months from diagnosis. This stark reality highlights the urgent need for timely and tailored care.
Funds raised through Walk to Defeat MND 2026 are crucial in enabling MNDSA to continue our work in the community.

My Story
At the end of last year, my mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Like many families facing this diagnosis, our world changed overnight.
Very quickly we were introduced to a whole new world, one that we didn't choose to be a part of.
However, witnessing my mum's fight, along with others in the MND community, has ignited a fire to fight for a future free from MND.
I have seen first-hand how care, research and awareness are critical to supporting families through this journey.
I'm taking part in the Walk to Defeat MND 2026 in recognition of my mum's fight against The Beast.
By supporting my walk, you're helping provide much-needed support to those living with MND and the people who care for them.
